Dietitian - Cardiac Rehabilitation - Per Diem

Location: Egg Harbor Twp, NJ  |  Position Status: Per Diem/Pool  |  Position Shift: Days
The dietitian is a member of the interdisciplinary team working in an ambulatory care setting. The registered dietitian is responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy to patients that supports the interdisciplinary plan of care and is in alignment with the medical treatment plan. In addition to providing medical nutrition therapy for patients, the registered dietitian (RD) will support health engagement activities such as, but not limited to, health and wellness coaching and corporate and community health and wellness programming. This includes both individual and group education. The dietitian utilizes the care process consistent with their license or certification within individual scope of practice. The RD follows evidence-based nutrition principals and guidelines as outlined by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and other relevant professional organizations. All patient care activities are administered according to standards, procedural guidelines and organizational policy. The RD assumes responsibility for continued professional and personal growth and maintenance of current licensure/registration.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in nutrition/related discipline and graduate of an accredited program for registered dietitians. Master's degree preferred.
  • LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration; members of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience providing medical nutrition therapy. Experience working in corporate health and wellness setting and program development preferred.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Position requires considerable walking and standing. May require some evening and weekend work.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
This position reports to the Health Engagement Director.
